WHAT ARE AMAZIN GRAZIN DINNER GROUPS?
Dinner groups are made up of eight people who gather together in a social setting for dinner four times over an eight month period. The purpose of these dinner groups is to provide another avenue for those in our community to meet new people and form lasting relationships in a fun, small group setting.
HOW WILL GROUPS BE COMPRISED?
Most groups will be comprised of eight people which may include couples, singles or mixed.
DO PARTICIPANTS HAVE TO BE A MEMBER OF GETWELL ROAD?
No. Everyone is truly encouraged to participate and enjoy the opportunity afforded to make new and lasting relationships in these fun, small group settings.
WHEN DO DINNER GROUPS START?
This year’s dinner groups will begin in October. Dinner groups will meet 4 times between October, 2009 and May 2010, however, you may certainly meet more often if you want!
HOW OFTEN DO GROUPS MEET?
Each group will meet 4 times over a 6 month period.
DO WE MEET WITH THE SAME PEOPLE NEXT YEAR?
No. There will be new sign-ups next year and new groups formed.
WHERE DO THE GROUPS MEET?
These dinner groups are all about building new and lasting relationships, not about a place. So, it makes no difference whether you live in an apartment or a house, large or small, decorated or not, it’s not about anything but the relationships. Gatherings can be as informal as a bar-b-que on the patio or picnic in the park to a gourmet dinner at home. Each group will choose their preference
WILL CHILDCARE BE PROVIDED?
No, unfortunately childcare cannot be provided. Since dinner groups will be meeting on various dates and times it would be extremely difficult for the church to provide childcare for all dinner groups.
HOW DO I SIGN UP?
You can register at the Information Center or online at our website (getwellroad.org) under “Adults / Studies & Groups” and also under “Quick Links / Forms.”
